A WARRIOR GOES HOME
YEARS
Death as they say is inevitable, and when it calls, we cannot but answer. Baba Afolayan as we always
called him lived a very simple and accommodating life which is well worthy of emulation, for the
last part of his life, I can say baba lived a conquering life, because despite the sickness, baba’s
countenance was always that of a joyful soul. A bright soul. Although we loved to see your face but
take solace that you knew Christ. Rest on.

You have left your footprints with glory on the sand of time. Your name will be remembered for a
long time, and your story will be told for generations. R.I.P.

What you do in life echoes in eternity! I remember the last retreat we attended together. Having seen
me with no accommodation, he offered me a room in a Pastor's hostel meant for him and gave me
comfort all throughout the programme. I am loved by all the members of his family. Brother Afolayan
was an epitome of love distributed within his locality, church and family. Before he went to glory he
appeared to me saying Sister Ruth I am healed. He opened his body and everything was perfect. When
I woke up and I heard the news of his death, it connoted that Brother Afolayan is in glory free from all
shackles, cages and troubles of this world. Brother Afolayan, your memory lingers on!
